One goal enough for Brook

13/12/2002

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: MOSTON Brook under 9s beat Moston Juniors 1-0 at Ten Acres Lane.

Brook knew it would be a tough game and went into it well prepared. The deciding goal came from Mathew Woodall. Jordan Ferns made some good saves as Juniors tried to hit back. Curtis Jones was excellent in defence for Brook and took the nod for player of the match.

  • MOSTON Brook under 7s gave an excellent performance against league leaders Failsworth Rangers, to win 3-1. The first goal came when Kallum Partington found Luke Daly who took the ball down the wing before cutting in to score. Daly bagged the second after intense pressure on the Failsworth goal. Failsworth showed more in attack in the second half, but Alex Hughes made some excellent saves and kept Failsworth out with the help of hard-working defenders Brandon Lucas, Kane Pearson, and substitute Kane Holland. Moston lifted their game again, and Luke Daly ran from his own half to complete his hat-trick.
