The perfect end to a great season

MIDDLETON Gymnastics Club has had its most successful year to date.
The club, based at the Demesne Centre in Bowness Road, Langley, rounded off a memorable season with five more medals to add to its growing collection.
Paige Storer and Dawn Doran scooped gold and silver medals in the club's final competition of the year. Paige, aged eight, gave a superb performance to take top honours on the beam, bars, and overall. Dawn, aged 11, win gold on the bars, and silver overall.
The girls were among eight members of the Middleton Club who competed in the Invitational Gymnastics Competition at Sharston, South Manchester.
Club official Maxine Flanagan said: "It was a perfect end to the calendar year. All the gymnasts who took part put in great performances. Hopefully we can build on this year's success and make next year even better."
The club is now preparing to stage its own competition later this month.
