FOUR boxing students at Hopwood Hall College have returned from an international event with gold medals.
Wesley Harris, Jason Prescott, James Brown and Liam Dorien, all aged 16, collected top honours at the Hancock Boxing Cup in Skive, Denmark, last month.
The quartet, who also train at Arrow Amateur Boxing Club in Salford, faced stiff opposition from a total of 400 competitors from across Europe to take the coveted titles.
Dorien was also handed Best Technical Boxer for his triumphant displays.
All four athletes are students at Hopwood Hall's newly-opened boxing academy.
Hopwood boxing trainer, Jimmy Barker, said: "The college is very proud of them.
"Not only is it good for us, but also for the lads and their club.
"All the lads are doing well with not just their boxing, but also their academic achievements are going very well which can only be a positive thing. They have all got very bright futures ahead of them."
