Gymnasts floor opposition and vault to medals

MIDDLETON Gymnastics Club had 35 members involved in the annual Phil Tighe Memorial competition at Copley Recreation Centre in Stalybridge.

Amelia Garlick was a bronze medal winner in the girls' six and under floor contest.

Beth Billington won silver in the eight and under floor competition. Stafford Stapletton competed in the six and under section and won gold on floor, silver on vault, and gold overall.

Ryan Young pipped him for the gold on vault. Scott Greenwood won silver on floor. Michael Orford won the overall gold in the 10 years and under section. He claimed silver on floor and gold on vault.
