Legs one step closer to title

LEGS of Man are closer to the Blackley League title after giving a superb display of finishing in their match against Premier Autos.

A surprise may have been on the cards when Premier took an early lead through Dillon, but Legs hit back to lead 3-1 at half time with a hat-trick from Evans. In the second half Nevins hit a brace and Bonar and Pannet added further goals to give Legs a 7-1 win.

Pint Pot are on their way to securing a semi-final place in the BASSA Cup after their 4-2 win over Museum.

The B Division is now a two-horse race after Cyn's earned a 2-1 win over Dover Castle. It could mean a possible play-off with Legs of Man for a place in the last four. Lightbowne were 3-1 winners over Vine.

Kersal beat Blackley Rangers 6-2, and Taylors were 7-3 winners over Airport to move up to second place in the B section. The other game played saw Lamb Inn beat Northern Colts 4-2.

The semi-finals of the BASSA Cup will be played in late April. The final will be on the Salford City FC ground on Wednesday 1 May.
