LANGLEY Rangers Under-15s
Rangers are town's sporting ambassadors
21/ 3/2002
A YOUTH football team will act as ambassadors for the town when they travel to the Continent, next week.
Langley Rangers FC under 15s are due to play two friendly games against Bouanville FC and Etaples FC during their three-day trip to Calais.
Thanks to their sponsors, all locally-based businesses, the 14 players going on the trip will only have to pay a small amount of money towards it.
John O'Toole, club secretary, said: "We are very grateful to all our sponsors and the lads are all looking forward to the trip because this will be the first time any of them have played abroad."
And the lads hope the break will do them some good because they need to win two of their remaining three games to claim the Manchester and District League title.
