Reid won't fight until April

ROBBIE Reid says he would rather wait for the right opponent than rush into his next fight.

The 'Reaperman' was expected to make his next defence of his WBF super-middleweight title next month. But negotiations with potential opponents have broken down.

Now Reid's chief trainer Brian Hughes, from the Collyhurst and Moston gym, says it is unlikely Reid will enter the ring before April.

"We were supposed to be meeting with a couple of promoters this week but that's not happening now," Hughes said.

"Robbie wants to wait until the right opponent comes along."
