MIDDLETON Boys under 10s beat Bridge Colts 7-1.

Liam Skinner opened the scoring, followed by Scott Howarth, and a cheeky lob by Skinner made it 3-0.

The defence of Ryan Leeming and Tom Haworth looked solid as ever.

Middleton started the second half pressing for another goal. It came from Scott Howarth.

Ben Durrant and Jayden Storey then combined to supply a cross for Scott Howarth who completed his hat-trick and made the score 5-1.

Tom Jackson ran the midfield and made some great tackles. He supplied an early ball for player-of-the-match Howarth to make it 6-1.

Skinner rounded off the scoring.

• MIDDLETON Girls under 14s were 3-1 winners against Heyside Angels.

The goals came from Candice Mather (2) and Sophie Hunt. The win put Middleton top of the Oldham Girls League.

• MOSTON Juniors under nines B, despite having an under strength squad, came back from behind to beat 3D Dynamos C 5-1.

Top scorer Adam Morris made a rare appearance in goal for the first half. Jacob Preston replaced him after the break.

The Moston goals came from Steven Loftus (3), Ben Kyte and Luke Barry.

Loftus was named player of the match.

• ROCHDALE Girls tasted defeat for the first time this season in a cracking match against second-placed Urmston.

They went ahead with two goals from player-of-the-match Alex Foster who once again dominated in midfield.

Rochdale then suffered a couple of injuries and Urmston took full advantage
