Holden picks up a KO win

FORTY players featured in last week’s darts knockout at Woodside WMC, writes John Gwynne.
Rhodes-based Mark Holden beat Woodside’s Paul Russon in the final.
It was the second time in as many weeks that a player from the Grove in Blackley - Holden’s team in the Middleton Thursday League - had won a Woodside event. Gerry Corcoran was the winner seven days previous.
The next Woodside knockout is on Thursday 3 July, and organiser Ian Slattery is hoping for another good turnout.
Players should be at the venue for 8.30pm with a view to a 9pm start.
Hebers WMC will be the venue for tomorrow night’s Middleton Ladies League presentations, start 8.30pm.
