Sophie leads medals assault

MEMBERS of a high flying gymnastics club are beaming after notching up more successes.
Girls from the Middleton club, in Bowness Road, bagged five gold medals, three silver and seven bronze when pitting themselves against some of the top young gymnasts in Greater Manchester. The club also produced an overall champion
The latest triumphs came in the Greater Manchester floor and vault and four-piece championships.
Head coach Glenn Prendegast paid special tribute to Sophie Lomax whose three golds and a silver in the four piece competition earned her the title of Greater Manchester pre-novice 12 and under champion.
Natalie Renshaw was third in the same competition, while Ellie Donohoe claimed a bronze on vault.
Krystina Selisny, Ella Lee, Olivia Dean and Jodie Forrest also claimed medals in the floor and vault section.
