Girls chosen for GB team

A TEAM of 25 students from the Domana Elica Martial Arts Academy, based in Oldham, attended two seperate trials in Rotherham.

From those, nine students from the Academy were selected to represent Great Britain in the world games, two of them from Middleton

They are Anabel Terry, 11, - weapons forms and self defence, and Latisha Terry, 13, - grappling, kickjutsu, and weapons forms.

Their father, Doctor Dave Terry, PhD, principal instructor of DEMAA, has been selected as a GB official and referee for the WOMAA world games which will be held in Castlebar, Ireland, in August.
