Rachel is on top Form-by to take title

MANCHESTER Golf Club’s Rachel Connor won the Formby Leveret title in the Ladies Order of Merit series.
The field for the 36-holes Leveret was full of players with county and national experience.
Katie Best (Sherwood Forest) led by two shots after the first round, but Rachel held her composure in very testing conditions to take the title by a shot from fellow girl international Hannah Barwood (Knowle Golf Club).
Rachel’s next event will be at Royal Troon where she will take on the cream of Europe in the Helen Holm Scottish Strokeplay.
This will be the first event in Rachel’s Rainbow Challenge. Her birdies or better will be totalled to raise money for the Francis House Children’s Hospice in Didsbury.
