Call to Arms for big night

27/ 3/2008

ONE OF the biggest nights of the season in the Middleton Men’s Monday Darts League comes next week when the finals of the two knockout competitions are staged at the Carters Arms.

League champions Gardeners Arms will be looking to complete the double when they come up against Railway and Linnet in the League Cup final.

Joiners, who were runners-up to the Sandy Lane men in the title race, will be hoping to go one better in the Subsiduary Cup when they face Woodman.

Both matches start at 9pm.

Grove (Blackley) took another giant step towards the Thursday league title with a 7-0 whitewash of Lancashire Fold.

Challengers Woodside WMC beat Black Bull 4.5-2.5.

Junction enjoyed a 5-2 success at Boarshaw WMC, and that was also the score by which Railway and Linnet overcame Oddfellows.
