Woodside make it seven on the bounce

DARTS: WOODSIDE WMC’s 5-1 and a set win over Boarshaw WMC was their seventh success in as many outings in the Middleton Men’s Thursday Darts League.
They also have an unbeaten record in the gallon contest.
Despite their record Woodside are second in the table, seven points behind Grove, but they do have a match in hand.
Oddfellows celebrated their first win of the season. They beat Charlestown 5-2.
Bottom placed Middleton Junction had a commendable 3-3 and a set draw at the Duke of Wellington.
Hare and Hounds went two points clear of Woodside WMC A at the top of division one in the Middleton Ladies League following their 5-2 victory over Millbeck.
Woodside tasted defeat for the second time this season. They were beaten 5-2 by Old Cock.
Woodside B made it six out of six in division two when they won 5-2 at Boarshaw. They are two points ahead of second-placed Carters Arms who won 4-3 at Brunswick.
Middleton Archer had reason to celebrate on Monday night when they won on the oche for the first time in seven matches.
They beat Carters 4-2 in a Middleton Men’s Monday League match.
Archer added the aggregate points with a 2-1 win on the crib table.
Leaders Gardeners Arms (Sandy Lane) beat Woodman 4-3 to go eight a half points head of Joiners who were beaten 5-2 by Gardeners (Grimshaw Lane).
