Moonrakers mauled as Chinthaka blasts bowlers

THE Moonrakers 2008 season finally got under way last Saturday, with Towncroft baked in glorious sunshine for the visit of Oldham.

But the weather was the only thing to smile about for the home side, as Oldham romped home with seven wickets to spare, thanks to a blistering unbeaten 88 from Sri Lankan professional Chinthaka Jayasinghe.
