Juniors claim a record with five final wins on run

MOSTON Juniors under 13s have won the Yorkshire Cup for the fifth year running, something no other team has achieved in the history of the competition.
Five wins in six games saw them top their group to qualify for a quarter-final match against Polish team Bielsko- Biala.
Moston dominated, but they hit the woodwork in extra time, missed a last-minute penalty, and were held to a 1-1 draw.
So it went to a penalty shoot-out, and Jonathon Beisty saved three of six kicks to put his team into the semis.
Yorkshire Lions came next, and Juniors were far too strong for them, easily winning 2-0.
The final was against Willington from Newcastle who wanted revenge after losing to Juniors in last year’s final.
As it turned out Moston had saved their best until last and they trounced their opponets 7-3.
