Daniel signs for United

THERE is a long way to go for Daniel Butterworth to become another Rooney or Giggs, but on Sunday he took a giant step on the way to possible stardom.
The eight-year-old Middleton lad, who is at Alkrington Primary School, has been under the wings of the Manchester United Academy for the last two years, and last weekend he signed forms for the Premiership giants.
Daniel also plays for Pendlebury United, and his team won the league title last weekend, so it was time for a double celebration.
