Ladies defy the odds to reach first cup final

AGAINST all the odds Middleton Colts Ladies have reached the Challenge Cup final in their first season of open age football.
They had to travel to play Vauxhall Motors in a semi-final clash and suffered a huge blow when they lost their captain after 15 minutes.
They also fell behind, but they battled back to level and take the lead just before half time.
Vauxhall claimed a second-half equaliser, but Middleton regained the lead only to concede a late third which took the match into extra time.
It eventually went to penalties.
Both teams missed then scored their second. A few kicks later and Colts were 3-1 up and in the final.
