Fitton claims vital winner

MIDDLETON Colts under 16s ran out 2-1 winners over Reddish Villa in a top of the table clash.
Villa started the stronger and had a couple of chances, but Adam Donahue pulled off good saves.
They did score first, but after Fitton and Currie had gone close Colts levelled through Callum Duffin who ran through on goal from midfield.
Colts looked stronger as the second half got under way, with Greenwood, Burgoyne and Mott playing well.
Greenwood had a great freekick effort saved, but the winner came from the following corner when Richard Fitton knocked the ball home.
Both sides had chances in the time left, but there were no more goals.
Tom Currie was player of the match for Colts.
