Bowlee Park Housing ... working 9 to 5

BOWLEE Park Housing Association will extend its office opening times by 20 per cent from the start of 2007 to improve levels of customer service.

From Tuesday 2 January, the office at Lingmell Close will open at 9am and it will be staffed during the lunch hour and close an hour later at 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Half day closing will remain on Wednesday to help staff training.

Bowlee Park Housing tenants can call into the office to discuss rents, repairs, applications to be re-housed, benefits advice or matters relating to anti-social behaviour. There are currently about 260 visits to the Lingmell Close office by tenants in an average week. In addition, tenants can access help 24 hours a day through the award winning customer service centre.

The new office opening hours are the latest in a series of improvements at Lingmell Close. A refurbished reception area, which includes better access for wheelchair users, was built earlier this year.

Lingmell Close also offers information on Rochdale Council's services through the Rochdale information services counter.

Jeff Allen, Bowlee Park customer services manager, said: "We are committed to improving the quality of service for our tenants and when we asked them what they wanted us to do, lunchtime opening came high up the list. The new times will mean we can deliver more to our tenants in a more flexible way."
