WE WANT local folk to show their support for our campaign to stop North Manchester General Hospital services from being downgraded - you can sign our petition online here ...

Heywood and Middleton PCT's board has recommended to axe not just the A and E department, but also the paediatric services and maternity ward at North Manchester General, instead locating them at Fairfield Hospital in Bury.

North Manchester General, along with the Royal Oldham Hospital, is the most used hospital for Middleton patients.

   why not lose a few managers from these hospitals then perhaps money could be saved for vital services to the people of north manchester, its disgusting that services and ward closures are happening AGAIN !!! while those people making higher wages sit comfortable while the little people suffer

   As a former QEGS pupil I ask Jim Dobbin to do everything possible to prevent the name change. Iam proud of the schools history- something the headteacher, the diocese, Crosslands and the powers that be seem to be unaware of. Perhaps money talks, so they choose to ignore everything Middletonions think. Jim Dobbin should actively petition Jim White to veto this change
