Perv exposed himself to school children

POLICE have appealed for information after a pervert exposed himself to two 10-year-old girls.

The primary school pupils were left shocked and upset by the incident, officers said.

The man was sat in a black Vauxhall Astra on Plant Hill Road in Blackley on Saturday 16 August at about 3.45pm when he called the youngsters over to ask for directions.

He then exposed himself and asked: "Have you ever seen one of these?"

The girls ran away and the man sped off.

Sergeant Stephen Hogg, from the Plant Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "The two girls have been left understandably upset by this man's actions.

"What he has done is completely unacceptable and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who recognises the description of the offender to contact us.

"I would like to reassure parents in the area that these types of incidents are rare but I would urge people to be vigilant and come forward with and details they think can assist police."

The man in the car is described as white, about 35 years old, of thin build with a shaved head. He was wearing a white Nike T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161 856 4028 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
