Mr Todd was a true professional, always there to offer help support & advice to everyone who needed it. Members of Manchester Pub & Club Network are proud to have worked along side Mr Todd who played a very important part in shaping our vibrant city centre. Mr Todd was a big inspirational leader to all, including our members in and around Manchester and Greater Manchester as a whole. Mr Todd was a true professional , always there to offer help support and advice to everyone who needed it. His ethics of partnership working were always very important to him , he would be regularly been seen out with his troops especially at the weekend in patrolling the cities streets, giving good strong reassurances to all businesses residents and visitors that our cities streets were safe. Furthermore Mr Todd managed to turn Manchester City Centre into one of the best family friendly city centre in the country, with the overall figures for visitors to Manchester doubled since Mr Todd became Chief Constable thanks to his pro-active policing strategies. As for the Pubs and Clubs, we have the best well established and operated licence premises in the country thanks to Mr Todd for allowing his officers to work closely and in partnership with Manchester Pub & Club Network. Finally may we send our sincere condolences to Michael's family, friends and his work colleagues.

The Police saved me from a good kicking when I was younger (in Rochdale Centre). I again offer my commiserations to Mr. Todd, his family and the force. Quite frankly I don't give a damm what coppers do off duty.

Henry what a pity you didn't apply the same sympathy for troubled DJ Andy Kershaw. I am very suprised when all is revealed in the tacky tabloids of Micheal's affairs you wont spout off daft Holier than thou comments.

A pity comment on such a tragedy has to be taken over by politcal washerwomen. May Mr. Todd Rest in Peace.

What constant threat of terrorism Troy? Ohh!! the propaganda from Nu labour you mean. The party that invaded a foreign country and killed thousands of innocent people calling it war, and when they hit us back it's terrorism?

Rest in Peace Micheal

A tragic story.

SAD NEWS – “A Coppers Copper”

Greater Manchester needs to pay respects and tribute to a chief officer who moulded, and modelled the way for citizens – keeping us safe from crime and the constant threat of terrorism.

I am in shock at this very sad news and hope the media pay the respects this leader should be given.
