War hero on murder charge

A MIDDLETON Royal Marine has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old sailor.

Police have charged Luke Morton, also 21, with the murder of marine engineering technician Kyle Bartlett.

Mr Morton, a seasoned campaigner with 40 Commando, who served with distinction in Afghanistan, was due to appear in court in connection with Mr Bartlett’s murder.
