Preview: Kindertransport

by Angela Kelly
23/ 3/2007

AT a time when the plight of refugees is constantly in the headlines, a new play at The Lowry is particularly apposite.

Kindertransport tells the story of Evelyn, a British woman in her 50s, and Eva, the nine-year-old German child she used to be.

Evelyn takes her daughter Faith up to the attic to dig out provisions for her student flat and discovers old letters - remnants of a very different life - in a powerful play starring award-winning actress Eileen O'Brien.

It runs from Tuesday until Saturday (March 31). Ring the box office on 0870 787 5793.
