ONE of Hans Christian Andersen's best-loved tales comes to The Lowry to delight fans of all ages.

Italy's Teatro Kismet returns to the Salford Quays venue with The Snow Queen.

This performance combines a range of theatrical styles and techniques like aerial acrobatics, dance and martial arts with dramatic lighting and an evocative soundtrack.

It follows the adventures of Gerda, in search of her friend Kay, whose heart is frozen when she is captured by the snow queen.
