Soapbox: Hayley the agitator on strike again
Rachel Broady9/12/2005
CORONATION STREET The girls at Underworld are on strike again - after Mike insists on searching their bags for missing company cash.
You see, Hayley - a political agitator if ever I saw one! -
refuses so Mike sacks her. She'd have a following to rival
Scargill's if she wanted but Mike forgets he sacked her and, on
seeing her having a drink in the Rovers, orders her back to
work.
Meanwhile, Gail's on the warpath again. Sarah spends the night at
Jason's and she blames Eileen for allowing it to happen. Who will
she blame for David wagging school? Phil the foot fetishist tries
to calm her down but she's like a whirlwind when she gets going
that one. I hope they fight in the street again!
And a sober Carol goes on a date with her boss at the bookies.
Turns out he's only using her to upset his ex so she seeks solace
in the Rovers. Will she stay sober? Do we care?
EMMERDALE Chas is back. Let the Dingle Christmas
celebrations begin!
She tells Carl she has a new man in her life - on hearing about his
shenanigans with Del - and Carl seeks comfort in the arms of a
heartbroken Del. The Dingle cousin may love him as much as Chas
does but she still helps Carl get his woman.
It's a shame she can't sort out Steph and Adam. He suggests the
cockernee sparra may benefit from counselling but she's `avin none
of it. And when Betty lets her into the secret that she's trying to
track down Terry as a festive surprise for Turner, she heads for
the bottle. Turner is convinced she's only upset because Terry's
return will expose her lies.
EASTENDERS Johnny is checking up on Ruby who is
secretly dating Juley. Phil takes delight in telling Johnny he saw
Ruby crying and it looks like boy trouble.
Are they gangsters or Colin and Justin? Nana gives Kat an envelope that she is not to open until after her death. I hope she opens it soon.
